| THE LONG ISLAND
PRIDE CHORUS was
given its voice in 1992 and continues to serve as a social and
artistic outlet for Long Island’s lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender
(LGBT) community. LIPC is sustained by its belief in community
and the ability of every person to make music.
We are a non-auditioning
chorus and we welcome anyone who loves to sing and can carry
a tune! LIPC advocates for acceptance of the LGBT community in
all its diversity and works to create connections to and between
local organizations. Since 1995, LIPC has been a member of the
international Gay & Lesbian
Association of Choruses and has performed over the years at GALA’s
annual Festival of Choruses.
LIPC looks forward to many more years of enriching
the lives of its members and the community with its individual
and collective voices. |
